Rui loves animals – all of them, without exception – and has a real refuge in his backyard, where time slows down and the world makes sense because it is more connected to the earth. Nature and the sea are destinations he seeks out, and which he combines in a camping retreat (in a ‘five-thousand-star hotel’). He likes to bake bread, perhaps for the satisfaction of transforming simple gestures into something useful and real. He is interested in politics, is an avid consumer of films and series, loves music, and tries to balance travel, healthy eating, and physical exercise with the rhythm of everyday life.
It is in the balance between professional dedication, the relationships he builds, and the causes he is committed to that he finds his place.
